(as if we needed another one). . .

I see this film as the spiritual father to others of similar pretentious emptiness such as, "The Big Chill," and, "Grand Canyon" that sullied the big screen in the 80's. Destroyed a whole generation of their taste and cinematic acumen.

I agree about "The Big Chill", which is a lot of pretentious crap about tiresome yuppies who think they're awesomely hip because they get stoned and are still obsessed with the pop music of their high school years. But "An Unmarried Woman" is more interesting than that.
