Was Ellen Burstyn...
...really 46 when she made that film? Hard to believe, even considering the make-up artist's work.

Stay out of the sun, don't smoke, don't drink to excess, don't do drugs. It's not that hard to do. Good genes help. People always guess my age 10-15 years younger than I am, and some people ten years younger look 10-15 older.

Jaclyn Smith and several other women look fantastic into their 60s. Joan Collins was 50 when she started Dynasty. 60's the new 40.
Oh, thank you so much for your advice coming out of mothballs. In fact, I didn't ask for it, but was talking about Ellen Burstyn.
You don't seem to have understood my question. It is one thing to look attractive and still have a smooth skin and something else to make people believe that you're in your mid-twenties, when you actually got 20 years of life experience more than that. It just shows, in the way you look and move.
Joan Collins is a very good example. She was 48 when she started dynasty, and of cause she looked stunning, but she could never have pretended to be 28.
I don't understand your question, but damn, I'm watching it now and shocked to see she was 46 when this was made! She looks so young in the beginning, sure, not in her young 20s like her character is probably supposed to be, but not much over 35. In the next sequence she looks beautiful. I always associate Ellen Burstyn with the 1970s, but it's crazy to remember that she was in her 40s during her heyday in that decade. Come to think of it, she played so many characters who had to be younger than she was at the time.
