Multiple DVD versions question
I hear that up until very recently, only the edited version was available on DVD. And up until recently, many independent DVD studios were releasing it since its copyright wasn't renewed.
Well my first experience buying it online lead me to a very poor quality version released by "CheezyFlicks" with horrible picture quality and was advertised as uncut. I didn't really bother to check.
But now the version I got is Region Free, and has the same poster cover as the blue one, with a shot of Anthony Hopkins' face on the right, and Fats' face on the left, with MAGIC big in the center bottom, and "A terrifying love story" in caps, and released by "Dark Sky Films".
Well the picture quality is great, the length of the movie is 107 minutes, and I skipped around and found a character saying *DE S WOID!*
So... is this the uncut version? And it seems clearly to be not the official studio release, so my curiosity would simply ask, does the studio release use the same cover?
