Some say his performance was wooden, but I thought it was the best by far in the entire movie.
I dunno, but he deserves a best supporting actor award.
I didn't find his acting wooden at all, what a load of rubbish. I think Corky's character is meant to be a little dull and it is throught Fats that he comes to life, that's the whole point of the movie really. I think that if people are finding his performance wooden then hopkins has achieved what he set out to do.

The name of the actor escapes me for the moment but his earlier films include 'Pinocchio' and 'Dead of Night.'
shareI know this is all tongue in cheek answers, but believe it or not, AH didn't do all the controlling of Fats. There are several scenes where he controlled by a real ventriloquist named Dennis ALWOOD. You can't make this stuff up. Lol
