That's why the eyes moved in that one scene all by themselves, to create doubt. And her high pitch yell and dropping the F bomb had some sort of significance. Or did it....

No - not at all. She was simply being silly. The audience sees that she is playful and happy and really would've gone with him. But there will be no chance of that and there never really was any chance. Corky was bonkers beyond control, dug in deep, and he took the only way out he would ever have.
