DVD news

Apparently New Line is putting out a "remastered" edition of this movie on DVD on July 22. Here's hoping it restores the soundtrack to its full original glory (such as it was). The previous DVD, for those who don't know, cut out some dialogue and a lot of sound effects, and was generally disorienting to those who knew the original movie from TV or the prior VHS release. I've clung to my old VHS copy for years for this reason, even though I no longer own a VCR.

I streamed it from Amazon, but they got the aspect ratio wrong.
