Just rewatched: a few pointless thoughts

How does Brackett not go check on his daughter during the course of the night. I know he was skeptical of Loomis, but just to be safe at least pass by and give her a warning.

Laurie is a terrible babysitter. She is attacked and being chased by a madman so she runs to the house where the kids are sleeping.

Why did Annie park in the garage? wouldn't she just have parked in front of the house or just in the driveway.

They needed you on set to fix those problems.

arm chair critics criticize because they can't do it themselves.

And they have way too much free time...

Yes you are definitely right - Laurie is a terrible babysitter! Not only does she lead Michael back to the kids but she drops Michael’s knife at his feet at least a couple times. Come on!

Maybe the Wallace's let Annie park in the garage because it was Halloween night and they were worried that if she left it on the street some kids might egg it, or soap her windows.

Laurie did NOT immediately run back to the Doyle's house. She went to a neighbor first and was banging on their door. Not only did they not open it for her, but they shut their lights off. Considering that she was screaming for help in the middle of a residential street, and nobody even bothered to look out their window, she figured her only hope was to go back to the Doyle's house, not realizing that she had lost the keys.
