Greased Lightning - The car

I guess you couldn't expect much from a bunch of high school boys building a car, it might have been fast but I thought it was ugly.
I just kept expecting a really bad-ass car and it didn't deliver.

yet at the end of the movie it had a glass hood and could fly ....

lol Was anyone else confused by the ending? I mean, I was a kid when I saw it and thought it was cool but I guess it's just supposed to be like a fairy tale ending and they live happily ever after in their flying car.

If you remember, Ms. Murdock commented before the race "If it were any better it would fly..."

The last scene with the car flying was a throwback to what she said....it WAS better.....and it DID fly!

That's the explanation of the flying car.

Haha wow! I honestly never once put two and two together despite having seen this movie at least 100, if not more, times. Now I feel pathetic. >.<

There is probably a good back story on why they picked that model, someone should enlighten us.
I think one reason they used that old car was to keep us in mind of the era this was supposed to be.

Ephemeron.

Danny's car at the end of the movie is a completely different car than the one he raced.

reply

Yes it transformed into another mode like *beep* Chitty bang bang or a 50s transformer .... Very cool

reply

No, I mean the car that they fly off into the sky in is Danny's car from the drive-in scene. Not the Grease Lightning car.

reply

The car they worked on belongs to Kenickie .

reply

I thot it was the Scorpions' car that Danny won the pink slip to in the drag race.
