What's Up, Doc
I just watched What's Up, Doc, with Barbra Streisand. The chase scene in it is almost exactly duplicated in Foul Play. I never noticed that before.
There's someone in my head but it's not me.

Well...no not really though.
True they're speeding through San Francisco and at one point there is road work and sand involved (WUD: driving through an ongoing sand dumping at a work site, FP: jumping a big sand pile, also at a work site).
But other than that... Nothing.
Obviously I'm on crack. I went back and watched FP's chase scene again, which I thought I had seen not long before my original post. I could've sworn that scene with the cars crashing into the VW bus was in Foul Play, as well as the men moving the giant plate glass window across the street.
Yep, I'm on crack. So sorry, please ignore post!

Oh, well if crack was involved...
No problem, crackheaded post ignored. :)
That being said; I do like both chases, FP's chase sure has its moments (that "far out"-cowboy always cracks me up), but the chase in WUD is friggin' legendary!
-If this was a George Lucas-movie it'd have been re-released three times by now, and be mostly cgi.
thought the same thing

Two of my absolute top whodunit/campy/caper/romance movies of the 1970s.
They don't make 'em like that anymore *sigh*
