Picture of Linda (Meryl Streep) in the wallet

When Nick (Chris Walken) is at the hospital in Vietnam he looks at a picture of Linda (Meryl Street) in his wallet who is his girlfriend. Later in the Movie Mike (Robert DeNiro) looks into a certain wallet & there is the same picture of Linda. Now is this Nicks wallet that Mike recovered or did Mike have a picture of her too. Leading to them having that fling after he returns home. Thought?

From watching Mike in the beginning, I always assumed he had a thing for Linda. He knew she was his buddy's girl and they were dating so he stayed away but there was the scene at the wedding when he took her aside to get her a beer. It seemed he was trying to be flirtatious. So I just assumed he had his own picture of her. Same one? Maybe from his copy of the yearbook or something?
