I watch him match the Russian Roulette "game" with equal fury. His courage is astonishing. I'm in awe. And the way he keeps his two buddies somewhat together is nothing short of inspiring.
shareI read some years later that filming that scene was actually terrifying to him. The actors representing the VC didn't know English and he said it was extremely tense to be hit like that and not understand what they were saying. It was a very difficult scene to watch even when seeing it more than once and knowing what was coming.
