According to the Wikipedia entry on The Deer Hunter, film critic Mark Kermode has called this "one of the worst films ever made." The quote in Wikipedia is not linked to a source and I'm trying to verify it for a research project.

Can anyone out there help? Audio or text will do, but I need it from a reliable source, preferably a clip of Kermode saying this or a piece he wrote.

Just Google "The Deer Hunter,Mark Kermode" and several references/ audio links to his comments come up straight away.

his favourite movie is THE EXORCIST which is just awful so pass no heed

the deer hunter is a brave challenging emmotional movie
