Why were they (the swat team) assigned to the apartment building at the beginning of the film? Is it because they were storing the dead in the basement? What happened that the swat team had to enter the building in such great numbers?
shareThey don't really go into any great detail about the large ghetto apartment building, but from what I can tell the street gang that was controlling the building and not letting the authorities take the rapidly reanimating bodies. So they had both humans and zombies to deal with. The goal was to save the residents who didn't approve of the SWAT team because they were ignorant of the threat posed by the zombies.
