My thoughts

I enjoyed this movie immensely. It was pure fun from start to finish. There is something very charming about a low budget horror movie, it feels a lot grittier than todays paint brush cgi polished scary movies. I understand the critique concerning the out-dated special effects, but for me it was part of the fun. And to think that George A Romero started a whole new genre with this and night of the living dead is just amazing. There would be no Walking Dead without this movie. The humour made me smile many times. Simply Charming.

It's too bad she won't live! But then again, who does?

This is by far my favourite horror movie. It blew me away when I saw it in 1980 on VHS , I was 9 and I've loved it ever since.

You are lucky enough to have been able to appreciate this movie fully. The only way for me to enjoy this movie is to pretend that I havent seen the countless better zombie movies that have come out since its release.

Born in 85. Clearly not my time. However this was the first movie I ever saw. I was about the same age as the op when me and my dad watched it for the first time as it was one of his favs. Have LOVED it ever since. Seen it countless times and it never gets old

First saw it in 1979 when I was eleven. Like nothing I had seen before and made me a life-long fan of zombie flicks. In 2016 it's showing it's age. For example one can see far worse gore on prime time television (all the CSI shows immediately come to mind), but it's still one of the first ones and I'll never forget how it terrified me.I saw it and "Alien" that year followed by "The Shining" the following summer (1980). Though I wonder what my parents were thinking taking me to those movies (yes my parents were with me) but all those movies retain a special place in my memory. Weird place, but special nevertheless.
