I never understood how zombies bite through clothing.

If they're no stronger than humans, weaker possibly, how can they bite through Roger's jumpsuit and the layers underneath it? A t-shirt I could maybe see, but not that.

I've thought about this and other examples of seeming superhuman physical accomplishments of zombies in movies, and the best rationalization I can come up with is that you or I could, in fact, bite through clothes, but are prevented by the pain of our teef and gums being strained to breaking. Zombies either don't feel pain or don't respond to pain, so can exert themselves beyond reasonable levels, like when my grandma lost her scratch-off down the sewer grate, she bent down and ripped it right out of the ground. Of course, she had to use a walker after that, and died two months later, but at the moment, she just didn't care.

Police overalls are made of stab-,cut- and fireproof materials so that is good question !

In '78, the overalls they wore were probably just cotton ripstop.

If someone offered you $10000000 to eat a saugsage wrapped in cloth I reckon you could do it.
It would hurt and possibly damage your teeth, but zombies don't worry about that bit.

Just doing a simple test just now, the clothe wont tear but you still feel the pain from the bit pressure.
