May ye thrive, and may this stife work as meant! I thank you fore your
having seized the initiative by sending them a complaint-message about the lack
of publication by mass-production by them of exemplars of the orig'nal, 4&1/2-
hours-long edit of this product, and beyond that fore your having facilitated
that course of action unto the rest of us by your having supplied us a/the
suitable {e-mail}-address! Kudos unto you! May this edit of this U.S.American
deliterary cinematic product of the same sub-genre as that of {Eye oftheDevil},
{The Wicker Man}, and{Darklands} soon be available unto us-all for rent or pur-
chase for watching fore Hallowe'en! Can ye find a similar address unto {Eye
of the Devil} --??own?ed by TurnerClassicMovies?--, and {Darklands} --published
by FOX & Pathe*--?
Thanks for the email address. I will email them right now! Would love them to release the full version on DVD. (I don't want a poor quality bootleg off of Ebay, thank you!)
shareIt works! I e-mailed 20th Century Fox along with many other IMDBers and they finally released "The Other" (Also by Thomas Tryon" on commercial DVD in the fall of 2006. So I know we can get this released also (uncut) if enough of us send the e-mail. So send one today!
Dave.
I will! I have been waiting/hoping for years that this would get released in full on dvd. I love this movie.
sharethere is a new book at amazon.com called Television Fright Films of the 1970s that talks about this film.
shareI have a friend who taped The Dark Secret Of Harvest Home off of TNT back in 1992 with commercials, but I am going to edit out the comercials, it is the Full 3 Hour 52 Min. and 40 second version!, but Im not sure wheather to put it on 1 or 2 DVDs!
shareI am going to a screening of this tonight at a local event called Conjure Cinema; the guy who organizes it claims he has an uncut version on DVD, but I don't know where he got it, I will ask him. I would LOVE to get this movie on DVD, it is so well done. The novel is one of my favorites.
Any news on whether this is coming out soon?
