A stoning happens?
The description sounds about right and it was from the 70s. I was just a child, but remember a movie where a woman has flashbacks of a stoning. Then a stoning happens at the end. It was the creepiest movie ever.
They call it a mini-series on here, but wasn't it just a regular feature length movie on TV?
You might be thinking of "The Lottery", which starred William Daniels and Keri Russell, and was based on a Shirley Jackson short story.

Do you know if this is the movie where the women pretty much run everything, and the one man left on the edge of town at the end of the movie, has his tongue cut out so he can't tell anyone. I bought Devil's Rain (1975) because I thought it might be the one. Haven't watched it yet. I remember a movie where they are dressed like horned devils and they melt in the end, like Raider's of the Lost Ark. Not sure if same movie or if both memories from same movie. Any ideas? I watched Wicker Man, not it.
shareespecially the Bette Davis character. There was a guy who lived in the town a long time who was also blind. The husband tried to get info from him about what was going on in the town but the blind guy seemed to have more questions than answers.
I mostly remember the ending of this mini-series and being puzzled by it but I was fairly young then.....
Crowhaven Farm would be more along the lines of what you described except the womans husband was crushed by placing stones on top of a board across his chest.
The theme went something like this, witches wanted to replace her husband evidenced by the last scene where the police officer ties the shoe in the same odd way that her dead husband used to tie them.
