If they were pagans, why did the go to church?
The villagers were said to be pagans with their weird traditions involving "the lord of the corn" and witch medicine of the widow.
But why was there a scene where they were in a mass held in a Christian church with the cross and all? And it was implicated that it is something they do on a regular basis. I think it would have been much more exiting if the village was completely isolated and pagan because they have chosen so, like the islanders in the movie Wicker Man.
I havent finished the series yet, so I don't know if there is something that explaines this thing in the latter parts, but this is something that got me thinking.
