I saw it on PBS last night and I must say, I really liked it. It was suspenseful and really interesting. I did not expect to see the people suspended in the air at the Institute and man was that ever freaky. It's weird to see all the women in skirts though, even in the operating room it looked like. Oh the joy of growing up at the end of the 20th Century.
I watched it then too! I was supposed to be washing the dishes but that stopped me and I couldn't leave my seat that I was at the edge of. Wow this movie was effective! 4/4!
I have read alot of the commentary from viewers on this film. I, personally, liked this movie very much. I thought it was a very efffective and creepy thriler. It was low key. It has been a couple years since I have seen it but I always look for it on TV.
I hear you mila18! I kept thinking the kind of people who like to use the term Femi-nazi are probably thinking of characters like Geneviève Bujold as Dr. Susan Wheeler or the woman who played the nurse. She seemed to range from CEO to doctor's assistant from one scene to the next.
Dr. Wheeler ranged from silly twit to super woman to ball buster all throughout the movie. Yeah, nice way to build up some credibility as a woman doctor. : {
