My copy of this film has an occasional odd sound problem.
It is during outdoor scenes, and the background noises have a sort of twisty "jet engine" sound to them, as though the sound has been run through some sound effects device. Also with this, is sometimes a reverberation, for instance, the sound of a hammer echos twice or three times.
Anybody else hear this?
Yes, the stereo processing for this DVD is hinky with strange separations and echoey surrounds.
shareI had the same problem. The original sound is mono, but the dvd has the mono track left and right slightly a-sync, so it sounds like a surround echo. The L+R channel sound are okay if not played together. Try to find a way to choose either the left or right channel, and play the film in real mono.
