This is a great show that was screwed over by the war between the music and DVD industry. i am sick of it. all of the people on this show could have made a comeback to tv and movies after people would be reminded of what a wonderful show this really is.

I have fond memories of this show but when i tried to watch it on the re-edited dvds , i thought i would be sick. They should not have released it at all if it was going to have bad music and voice overs for musical comments. it was embarrassing and disgusting. the people involved with this show should sue.

BRING IT BACK TO TV OR RE-RELEASE IT ON DVD...CORRECTLY!

Shout! Factory has just released the complete series on DVD. Early reviews and analysis indicate that about 85% of the original music is intact. In cases where the music rights could not be obtained the edits were generally very good. (There are a few exceptions.)

Don't blame Shout! Factory or the original creators of the show for the fact that this isn't a 100% release. Music rights licensing is extremely complex. There are cases where no amount of money would secure the rights to a song.
