YES. The newer set - either the complete series or the individual seasons - is far superior to the Fox release from several years ago. The new release from Shout Factory! has over 80% of the original music intact. The Fox release was a mess with music replaced and entire scenes cut out.

Do yourself a favor and "trade up".

Absolutely. I too bought the first season from Fox several years ago but upgraded with the Shout Factory complete set.

While the Shout Factory set does not have 100$ of the original music it has the vast majority of it and in those instances where the rights to a song used could not be obtained they have done a much better job of finding an appropriate substitution. In addition the show looks very good for one that was shot on videotape and not film. This set does lack the commentary that was on the Fox set, but I will happily forgo that for the top notch effort Shout Factory has done in giving up this show as close to its original version as we are ever going to get.

The Shout Factory set is an excellent investment and highly recommended.
