Would there have been an Andy-Bailey romance if the show had continued?

There often seemed to be some subtle flirting between the two of them on the show. Plus Andy usually took her side in any station arguments, and would stick up for her if he felt she wasn't being treated fairly. Was it because he was attracted to her, or was he just naturally protective of her since she was so shy?

When shows go on for several seasons, they have to rely on plot twists to keep things fresh. Could there have been a relationship between them if the show had continued into a fifth, sixth or seventh season? Would you have wanted to see it?

I would like to have seen Johnny and Bailey get together.

Bailey seemed to be interested in men who were somewhat dysfunctional so Andy may not have been her cup of tea.

"A manic depressive divinity student with a drinking problem."

I think that's how she described her date for The Who concert.

She and Johnny kind of DID happen.
But he was never good at commitment and Baily was kind of a good girl.
Too good for him - sadly.

There were a couple of instances where she seemed to have a crush on him. Especially when she was giving him a hard time about having to model for the beach scene. She seemed to enjoy giving him a hard time.

Jan Smithers and Gary Sandy seemed to have had a more natural chemistry with each other than his girlfriend at the time in real life, Loni Anderson. I could see Andy and Bailey getting together with one another near the end of the show----if they had been given the chance to go on with it.
