Rumored Re-boot female-centric cast

This was a great show at the time, but I think it is time to give the girls a shot. I think instead of Jennifer it will be a good-looking gay man, just so they can try and flirt with him for the joke of it.

Where did you hear this rumor? A WKRP reboot sounds like a terrible idea. The original was allowed the freedoms of 70's TV. Today's network television is far too controlled and politically correct.

I agree. Some of the things they were able to get away with back then just wouldn't fly today. Johnny's constant sexual reactions to Jennifer and sometimes Bailey....The comments that Herb and Les would constantly make....Plus, Mama Carlson and Andy's 'relationship' wouldn't be that unusual in today's world. It was funny back then but the 'cougar' style relationship wasn't as out in the open as it is today. And overall, just the sensibilities that made the show unique probably wouldn't be excepted now.

You pitched the new Ghostbusters to the studio didn't you? The one thing that's worse than the constant reboots and remakes is the "Let's reboot/remake it, but with all the genders reversed!". You know why? Because there is nothing new, it's just pandering to people who claim to want more roles for (group X), but have no idea how to look for something original...
