never give a trucker an even break

Just watched this episode and noticed it had a happier ending, meaning he wasn't walking down a lonely highway, how many other episodes ended without him in such a hurry to leave town

Joanie was a cutie. If I was David I would have stuck around.

Stock footage was taken from Steven Spielberg's television movie "Duel". Both the series and the movie were produced by Universal Pictures.

The episode's title is a play on the 1941 W.C. Fields movie "Never Give a Sucker an Even Break".

I couln't agree more. The same with Stop The Presses http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0610906/?ref_=ttep_ep9BOTH Restaurant owners had it for him. I would have gone for either one of them.

Since were on the subject of David hooking-up. Me, personally, I think he should of stuck around in the episode Earthquake Happen. I think Sherry Jackson is a total smoke show. Head and shoulders above the rest of the women in later episodes. Don't get me wrong, I would bang-out all the women from the series.

The following is my top five: 1. Dr. Diane Joseph (Earthquake Happen)
2. Gail Collins (Solitary Place)
3. Dr. Claudia Baxter (Beast With In)
4. Holly Cooper (Escape From Los Santos)
5. Cathy (Hulk Breaks Las Vegas)
Honorable Mention: Laurie (Darkside)

Does anyone care to add to the list? Best!!

I think even David couldn't resist her invitation when after giving him the new clothes, she says "that's not all I'd like to give you." I think Dave was showing her Hulk Jr. later that night.

As for this episode, you can see why Spielberg was so enraged at the blatant Duel rip off. I mean, this episode had to be 90% Duel footage with ridiculous filler in between. Really horrible use of green screen. This has to go down as the worst episode of all time. Even worse than the baseball episode.

Nah. This episode isn't the worst episode of all time, nor is "The Phenom". At least the stories were decent. Watch the episode, "Babalao". THAT is, in fact, probably the worst episode of the entire series...and this was my absolute favorite show growing up.

Out of curiosity, I watched Babalao on Hulu. You're right, it's a lousy episode. But it's nowhere near as bad as Trucker. At least in Babalao they had some semblance of a story with a bit of atmosphere. Trucker is nothing but a bad cut and paste job where all the plot points were created so they could use all that footage from Duel.

The scene where the Hulk pops out of a Mardi Gras wedding cake with two midgets dancing on top of it-- that scene alone made it better than Trucker.

Babalao b!tched slapped David because David exposed him of a fraud in front of Babalao's believers 

Worst episodes to me:

1. Slaves
2. "fake Ernest Hemingway" guy (I forget the plot)
3. The Lottery (guy from the Electric Company guest stars)

'Married' ended with David sitting on the beach outside Caroline's home in Hawaii, rather than on the road, but not many others like this come to mind.
