What is your favorite job of David's?

David had a new job almost every episode. Which one was your favorite? Many of them looked typical for a drifter like ranch hand, car washer, arcade attendant, etc.. But he had some better jobs like roadie for a rock band and trainer for a pro football team. Those were my two favorites.

David didn't like that job as a stage hand from 'Metamorphosis', but worked best when employed as a research scientist, like he was in 'Bring Me The Head Of The Hulk'. I liked him as the zoo employee in 'The Beast Within', because I like animals. The kind of job he likely held most of the time would be as a grocery hand like he was in 'The Psychic', though you only see a little of that.

Did he ever work in a fast food place?

Imagine him Hulking out when harassed by unruly customers?

Or not getting an increase in the minimum wage?

He'd probably snack on some fries in between throwing hooligans around.

David worked at a pizza parlor in 'Stop The Presses', and at diners in 'My Favorite Magician' and 'King Of The Beach', but no major chains that I know of!

reply

Okay, I'm looking forward to those, even though I saw "My Favorite Magician" but don't remember the diner part.

The diner part was LITERALLY at the very beginning of the episode...the first scene. David is working in a diner when Jasper the Great, a magician (aka Ray Walston), appears out of thin air, and proceeds to get David fired from the diner. Then, Jasper makes David his personal assistant in his magic act, and hijinks ensue. There may even be a Hulk sighting or 2 when David joins in the magic act. Heh, heh.

With David's education and intelligence, he should have worked in the scientific field. But having him work in a variety of jobs as he drifted around the USA was probably a little more realistic.

taxi driver

should have done it more often as it leads to better multiple storyline possibilities
though in that particular episode I could not believe that McGee did not recognise him in his own cab!

I am watching the "Killer Instinct" episode again when David was a trainer for a pro football team. I can't believe they were allowed to use NFL logos and real NFL game footage. But they didn't use real NFL team names. The C on the Chicago Bears helmets stood for the fictitious Los Angeles Cougars. Footage of Hall of Famer Dick Butkus was used to represent linebacker John Tobey played by the late Denny Miller.

I think David worked as a nurse in the "Babalao" episode. He was assisting a doctor so he was probably a nurse. I liked that episode a lot because David and The Hulk exposed a phony witch doctor.
