I'm gonna say season 4. It had some of the best episodes of the series such as Prometheus, the first, dark side, King of the beach, just to name a few

season 4 was very gimmicky (half hulk, 2 hulks, evil hulk, paralyzed hulk, etc.), but it was all good stuff, so i would say 4 is the best too.

Not sure what you mean by gimmicky. It was a challenge (certainly in the 70s-early 80s), to put it on TV, and it rose up to it. And, it was based on a comic book. But, your final point-"all good stuff" is true. Prometheus and The First alone made season 4 the best.

Totally agree. And, you nailed some of the best episodes. I always felt The First and Prometheus were not just great episodes...They were THE 2 best episode of the entire series.

Partial to the first two seasons myself. But I liked them all, even the very short season 5.
