Hulk vs. Black Panther

Yeah in "Like a brother" episode the bad guys lock David in a bathroom with their black panther pet inside lol

Weird. I just watched that episode earlier today on Hulu.

Good episode.

According to co-star Tony Burton(who played villain Taylor George) it wasn't really a panther at all, but a leopard painted black, since real panthers were too erratic to work with.

This can be found in the book You Wouldn't Like Me When I'm Angry: A Hulk Companion by Patrick A Jankiewicz.

Tony Burton passed away on February 25, 2016 at the age of 78 from pneumonia complications. Burton was best known for his role as Tony "Duke" Evers in six Rocky movies.

That episode had another Rocky connection. Mike was played by Stuart K. Robinson. Robinson is best known for playing assistant trainer Johnny in the first two Rocky movies.

Thats right I forgot although I remember Stuart K. Robinson in Rocky 2 but not the first one.

reply

Not related to the Rocky connection, but Tony Burton wasn't the only big name in this episode. Taylor George's fellow baddie sidekick/henchman was none other than Ernie Hudson.

Johnny was also in Creed but a different actor. It was Jonny's gym that Rocky took Donnie to train.

My favorite scene from that episode was after David received his first semiweekly butt kicking then turned into The Hulk one of his co-workers D.J. said "that's what I call a colored man". Please click on
