I used to watch this to see Tattoo and his 'mini' station wagon
What can I say I was a kid and I really dug it. I also laughed hysterically when he wrecked it and almost died in one of the episodes. RIP Herve'!

shareI used to know Herve Villechaize personally, and once I actually got to drive that car. He apparently got to keep it when production ceased. It runs via a lawn mower engine.
That car, or a replica, recently came up for sale on eBay. Would've been a truly wonderful memento of the show. Too bad I'm not rich. :)
The episode where he wrecked the car was a poignant one to me, because it showed the depth of the friendship between Roarke and Tattoo. Unfortunately, the timing of it wasn't so great because it was in fact M. Villechaize's last episode. After that one Christopher Hewett took over as Lawrence. It contains clips from past episodes that were often snipped out for syndication editing, so it's another small "treasure" for me to watch. :)
