Um...which mermaid episode do you mean? There were three of them with Michelle Phillips as Nyah the mermaid. I don't recall there being a "madam" in any of them. But if you let me know which ep, I'll look into it and get back to you.

Thanks for the clarification...I figured out which one you're thinking of. It was "The Mermaid/The Victim" (season 3, aired 12/1/1979). The character you have in mind is Madame Jeannot, played by Yvonne DeCarlo. She was the overseer of a group of young women kidnapped by a suave character who kept a group of sex slaves for his amusement and those of his wealthy, male, usually old, dinner guests and business companions.
