FAITHFUL TO THE SOURCE MATERIAL.

True Spider-Man only had one web-shooter, no villains from the comics, JJJ didn't dislike him like he does in the comics, and Uncle Ben's not there to motivate Peter in using his powers to fight crime, BUT when you compare this to the other Marvel Comics live action TV adaptations from the '70s (including The Incredible Hulk, with Bill Bixby and Lou Ferringo) this show stayed mostly true to the source material, ESPECIALLY the pilot film and the 1st five episodes. The Amazing Spider-Man (TV Series) was actually a top 20 show. Since CBS didn't want to be labeled as a superhero network and was expensive for them to make, they cancelled it instead. Also true, Stan Lee hated the show, just like it's true that he help write and produce the travesty know as The Return Of The Incredible Hulk. Where Don Blake is a separate individual and not Thor's alter ego, they're basically good drinking buddies. Love Nicholas Hammond portrayal of Peter Parker/Spider-Man. Kind of reminds me of Leonard from The Big Bang Theory, but just less hornier. LOL
