Nicholas Hammond...

Just watching a few episodes today and I must say of all the people who have portrayed Spider-man Nicholas was perfect for the role. I feel he played the role more the way the comic made him out to be and that to me made this series just a bit more watchable. I read somewhere the cartoon version of Spider-man that came on in the 80's they actually used him as a template for the cartoon.

I know this series is extremely cheesy because it was made in the 70's, but I would love to see this released on DVD someday. The kid in me still appreciates these old series and remind me of simple times of just riding my bike in the neighbor hood with friends and just running around as a kid.

Thank you Nicholas Hammond if you ever come around and read this.

The 80s Spidey cartoons had a Peter that pretty much looked like the John Romita standard but I think the 90s cartoon definitely had a Peter Parker that resembled Hammond. The parody version from Venture Bros probably resembled him a bit too.

Hammond probably wouldn't have been my pick for the role but I think he worked for the show and I liked him enough in the role. If only the overall show was better...

I think Hammond was a great Peter Parker. That lent credibility to the role. His Spidey needed work.

Supposedly there were plans to have Nicholas Hammond make an appearance in No Way Home. He said that he was never approached.
