Did George Lucas copy Bakshi's troopers in his design of the Star Wars Stormtroopers?
shareI don't know but I do know both were inspired by the footage from the great Russian film epic Alexander Nevsky(1938) directed by Sergei Eisenstein. I sort of remember Lucas saying something about being influenced by the film in a documentary. And of course Bakshi was a huge fan of Alexander Nevsky as footage from the film can be seen in Wizards and LOTR (1978)
