footage question

So, the stock footage we see Blackwolf playing from the projector is largely from WW2 newsreels and Nazi Propaganda films.

However, where does that color night time footage of Germans with M-48 tanks made-up-to-look German come from?

It pops up pretty briefly during his first demonstration of the projector but is really obvious later on during the battle scene.

It's obviously from some 60's war movie, I'm thinking Patton or Battle of the Bulge, but don't remember those shots specifically. I know they used stuff from those movies for the rotoscoping, but wonder how the studios behind those shots are fine with the straight-up theft of those shots.

According to Wikipedia, it uses scenes from Zulu, El Cid, Battle of the Bulge, Alexander Nevsky and Patton. These are all from different movie companies, so I wonder if they just ignored the legal issues or got formal permission.

yeah I know those were used for the rotoscoping, but what about that straight-up regular untreated footage?
