I think it's a neat thing, rotoscoping which is a predate to the CGI movement thing we see in Avatar and Beowulf.

I think there was actually a reason for this (deadline or budget). I don't mind, though. Just had an odd contrast during the last fight scene, but other than that, I think it gave the movie a bit of originality in the art department.
