I'd love to hear about other great films if anyone can recommend others!!

Some other good Argento films in my opnion "The Stendhal Syndrome" (very underrated), "Trauma", "The Card Player".
Some others decent Fulci movies, "voices from beyond", "the devil's honey" and especially his bleak western "Four of the apocalypse".
Another interesting Michele Soavi's movie, his last one for the big screen, "Arrivederci amore, ciao" released in 2006.

I've seen "The Stendhal Syndrome" and "Trauma". I've always debated whether or not to get "The Stendhal Syndrome" but I'm not quite sold on it. Before you ask, I have seen the "unrated" version.
Haven't seen "The Card Player"

Saw "Voices From Beyond"... I didn't like it. I'm going to check out "Four Of The Apocalyspse" now that you mention it.
Another Fulci great that I've seen (I don't own it yet) is "The Psychic" ("Sette Note In Nero" (1977))

"Arrivederci amore, ciao" sounds interesting.... a western?

"Arrivederci amore, ciao" sounds interesting.... a western?"

Not at all!
It's "neo noir" film, a thriller, and almost horror at times...it's very cruel, nasty, and well acted too. It's really worth a look if you like Soavi's films!

reply

OK, I expected from the title that it was either a western or a giallo... I can always do with a few more giallos... I will check it out.

I'm a fan of Michele Soavi... "Stage Fright" and "Cemetery Man" (Dellamorte Dellamore) are excellent!! ... "The Church" and "Devil's Daughter" were good as well.

All my Italian horror/thrillers are made between 1957 - 1994 (I think?)... so I didn't expect to hear of a good recommendation for a film in 2000 or later... but Michele Soavi is very talented. I will check it out for sure.

Thanx for the info... if you need any recommendations, don't hesitate to ask.
