Underrated movie!

I do not think that word means what you think it means.

Is it the first time you have ever watched Star Wars? I don't think anyone would ever call it underrated.

with an asterisk attached to that agreement.

i do think anh's rep has faded a bit, and that it's seen as a pretty good setup for the main event in empire. you'll see a fair amount of chatter that it looks a bit wobbly in comparison to the sequel, it takes a bit too long to get going, etc. at least that's the impression i get from movie board and twitter chatter. maybe i'm wrong, but it seems that way to me.

& i completely disagree with that. i watched anh this past weekend for the first time in ages - a decade, i bet - & i had an absolute blast with it. i was completely satisfied & thought it held up perfectly.

so i agree that it might be a bit undervalued these days.

It's the only Star Wars movie you need to see. The rest are toy commercials.

This in my mind is a masterpiece, and my favourite film of all time.

I adore this movie, but none in the OG trilogy are underrated by any means.

To each his own. I think it's ridiculously overrated. Slow pacing, silly dialogue, uncharismatic characters, a goofy supervillain, cheesy music and worst of all, extremely cheap looking cgi and special effects.
