Finally got the soundtrack!!

After almost 13 years, I finally managed to find a copy of the extremely rare soundtrack of "Goodbar".

Periodically, I would look in used CD shops to find a used copy of the soundtrack, which goes for high prices on Amazon Marketplace and ebay.

But, today, I was shocked when I saw a pristine copy of "Goodbar" in the soundtrack section of a used CD store in Toronto. I went directly under "L" to see if a copy might be there, not expecting that a copy would actually be there (I had given up hope). When I did see a copy of "Goodbar", I thought I was seeing a mirage.

Even better: the price. Can you believe the owner listed the price for $5.99 CDN?! What a steal! I remember SAM the Record Man (one of Toronto's former major music stores) had a new copy selling for almost $35 Canadian (and this was back in the early '00s).

Interesting things about the soundtrack itself: 1) the physical CD itself has a picture of Keaton on it; and 2) there's a very brief write-up about the movie in the inlay, and they spoil the ending! LOL

What a great soundtrack. So many classic songs of the '70s.

great soundtrack...I remember my friends and I watched this movie and when we left a couple of the songs were playing on the radio. I grew up in Chicago we hung out at those type of bars. We immediately had to hit the bars on Rush street where the movie was filmed to continue the moment. LOL. The drinking age was 18 which meant you could get into those places at 16!
