Palm trees visible in scene
Did anyone else notice the palm trees (high ones that are in Los Angeles) in the reflection while Keaton is in one of her scenes on the street during the day?

The ambulance that takes her to the hospital in the daydream sequence where she steps into traffic, is clearly marked as being from Lenox Hill Hospital, which is in Manhattan on the Upper East Side.

"It was also noted that while the novel is set in New York City, the film is said to be located in San Francisco (but noticeably filmed in Chicago's Rush Street neighborhood)."
IMDB lists Los Angeles and Chicago as the filming locations.
NYChaseter, I was under the impression it was set somewhere else, because they didn't show palm trees at all. Other than the reflection in that window. I also recognized some of the buildings from Chicago. No need to be rude....
shareI always had the impression that the location of the film was deliberately vague and was supposed to be a stand in for any big city, post sexual-revolution. It's been so long since I've seen it I cannot recall if the setting was ever mentioned by name.
shareIt is mentioned somewhere near the end of the movie that it is indeed San Francisco.
