Great bad movie

This is a hilariously fantastic bad movie. I encourage any fans of camp to knock back a few and take this baby in.

I love this movie! I remember back when it first came on it gave me nightmares. I guess I was a little unbalanced. Anyway, I hadn't seen this movie in several years and then found it as part of a set for $10!
It may be cheesy, but I like it.

This is the movie I hold up as the Holy Grail of bad dino-flicks. I only show this to the most hard-core bad sci-fi fans. Beauteous, it is. My favorite aspect is how Masten Thrust (try and live up to THAT name without being arrested) asserts that Bunta is the best tracker in the world. Then, Bunta twice fails to even notice the tyrannosaurus's presence until it's close enough to pee on him. Oh, yeah. Bunta's got skills. The dino's the size of an upright semi truck, but he can't find it until he climbs a tree, then notices it's staring him in the face.

Theme song - yeah, that Shirley Basse-ripoff screamer that gives away the whole point of the movie in the first five minutes...'Now they are gone, there are no more / he is the last dinosaur!'. Subtle as a railroad spike.

Well, to be fair...Bunta did find the T-rex tracks in the mud right before he climbs the tree.

Kinda surprised this movie dodged the guys at MST3K. They covered five Gamera movies and two Godzilla films. This one would fit in there perfectly. Althouh
im not sure I would have wanted to see it spoofed since it was a childhood favorite.

I just grabbed the DVD off of usenet. Widescreen laser disc transfer with burned-in Japanese subs (very good transfer considering). I haven't seen this since I was a kid in 1977. I had fond memories of it and for years had the music bouncing around in my head. It wasn't until I skimmed through it tonight that I realised it was one of the great movie memories of my youth. It was a gas watching it AND for the first time in widescreen.

Richard Boone appears drunk throughout much of it but I'm loving every second of his performance. WAY over the top and very ripe. Fun ride. Stupid but loads of fun. MAN! I love movies.

My brother had taped this movie back in the 80s and used to watch it a lot. I always liked the theme song. I bought it for him on ebay earlier this year but I have yet to send it to him. I think I'll watch it again before I do, it's campy good fun.

I agree this "so bad it it good" movie, and should be consired a cult classic.

This movie deserves a quality DVD release.

Supposedly is a Widescreen Japanease Laserdisc with non-removable subtitles.

But I have only seen the poor picture quality VHS store bought tape.

I found my copy on ebay. It's silly but, intriguing. I was just going to play it and do some other stuff. It started off so cheesy but, then I found myself hooked on it.

I kept wondering what was going to happen next. LOL Silly but, viewable (kind of interesting. There goes my night LOL).

One night, my dad stayed up late and taped this off TV for me. I wore out that tape, watching the movie over and over again as a child. He had fallen asleep, so I had never seen the beginning, I think it started up just as they were getting into the drill thing.

I just picked this up on DVD off eBay. I hadn't seen it for at least fifteen years, possibly twenty, but hearing the music again was amazing, and brought back more than a few childhood memories.

I really think they should start making car doors out of T-Rex skulls, they can take a huge rock to the head, and just pop back into place. Tell me that wouldn't be useful against shopping carts.

There is something to be said for giant rubber monster movies.

Been there, done that. It was the Saturn and the company's out of business now. I used to own one and I loved it.

I loved, loved, loved this really bad movie. I loved the score, the bad effects, etc. Felt sorry for the dinosaur too. I watched it on television when I was young and Saturday television was still fun to watch.

Oh yeah this is a classic. I remember watching it on I think CBS as a saturda movie of the week in 1977, I havent seen it since but i have some fond memories of this. They really outta take some of those great made for tv in the 70s horror/sci fi movies and put out a set of them. They dont make them like this anymore.

Masten's boorish, sexist persona is embarrassing, but you also gotta love the way Frankie literally whores herself to go on the trip to dinoland. Then she flip flops her affections between Chuck & Masten. You're almost forced to dislike her too.
And what on God's green earth did Frankie & the other women *see* in Masten?? With his ugly, crabby old ass & big, pocked nose! Lol! I swear- the actors *must* look back at this, laugh themselves & chalk it up as a paycheck & exposure.
