Question about the beginning

Sorry if this has been brought up before, or mentioned in the DVD commentary, but when Karen is chasing Alice through the abandoned warehouse and Alice takes her mask off, for that spilt second it seems to be possibly a disfigured face? Who was this or what was the purpose? Maybe it's just my eyes but it looked awful strange. Great film by the way.

I think it's just another mask..you can see it in the store window right before she goes to the abandoned warehouse. It was freaky looking
