Still my favorite after all these years

I rented this from Hollywood Video when I was twelve years old and I've never forgotten it since. To this day it stands as one of my favorite (if not favorite) slasher films ever. There are so many layers to the plot which is unusual for a slasher picture, and the mood of the film is like nothing I've seen before or since. I remember when I saw it for the first time I had assumed it was considered a classic, but it's really not, which is sad— it's one of those films that, although far better than one would expect it to be, fell through the cracks. It's a compelling story and the tension and dread is incredible, too bad it's not more well-known. Should be on the same level as films like "Halloween".

"Alice, Sweet Alice" is also my favorite horror film, next to "Flesh For Frankenstein." I love the atmosphere in this film, and the feeling of nostalgia I get from watching it is really great. I can actually remember when they re-released this in theaters when Brooke Shields started to get famous. I wanted to see it then but I was about 10 years old so it was out of the question. I caught it later on video, and it's been one of my all-time favorites ever since. I'm glad I didn't see this at age 10; I think it might have screwed up my head..

Fabio Testi is GOD
