the scene where they're dancing on the roof, what movie is that taken from?

I'd gathered it was a Casablanca nod. After all, he does do a Bogie impersonation :)

I'm pretty sure he's supposed to be Fred Astaire, actually, since he said the line "Even Ginger [Rogers] was nervous the first time she danced with me," and sang their signature "How About You?"

He is imitating Humphrey Bogart in "Casablanca". (especially with the speech and the fedora hat)

It's from the movie: Top Hat by Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers. Classic musical movie.

Fred Astaire does not sound like that at all. If that was a Fred Astaire impression then it was a very bad one. It definitely sounded Like Bogart.

It was both the Bogart/Astaire thing.

The scene is just a mish-mash of movie stuff -- he is doing a Bogart impression, makes a reference to Ginger Rogers, and the song "How About You" is from Babes on Broadway, which starred Mickey Rooney and Judy Garland.
