Yeah, the premise was funny but to carry it through was boring but then it wouldn't have closed and it would have changed the whole plot.
shareI thought it was the funniest part of the film. Richard Dreyfuss has that CLASSIC drunk scene where he reads his reviews out loud. That snagged him the Oscar, guaranteed. Roger Ebert claimed that was the funniest section of a movie since Mel Brooks and The Producers.
