Anyone else seen this?
I watched this on Tubi today. I thought this was really interesting and well written. Marina de Graaf is fantastic. 8/10 is my rating.

shareI watched this today and liked it well enough. Far more than the other movie I had seen (A Woman Like Eve) from the same director. Marina de Graaf did pretty well with a not easy part. She doesn't look the 14 she's supposedly playing, but not all girls look the same at that age. And the fact that she looks a bit older (was 17-18 when this was made) makes it more believable the 41 year old Hugo goes for her.
A few scenes I found funn:
- the performance by Tanja and Carolien at the school where they are the pregnant angels and do the song about abortion. Tanja was cute.
- Carolien's parents arguing after the dad finds her trying to take the birth control pills
What did you think about the scene where Jacque rapes Carolien? From a story standpoint, I almost got the feeling it was meant as a sort of warning or punishment for her character. The movie mostly took a non-judgemental tone about the relationship between Carolien and Hugo, but then I wondered if the assault by Jacque was meant in a "see girls? If you slut around with an old man, you'll get a reputation and guys will assume you're free pickings. This will happen". With it being a Dutch movie in the 70's I don't know if that was the intent or not.
