How much racing?

I've never seen this movie before, but now that I know it's set in the world of F1 during the mid-70's, I am interested to know how much racing footage there is.

I did see a clip on youtube about a fiery crash, and I remember seeing an article about how it was done many years ago in National Geographic's "World" (their magazine for young readers). I had no idea what movie it was from, but I distinctly remember the red Martini car (the Brabham).

There's very little racing, even though it's of course excellent 70s images and include those heyday drivers. That may be the whole problem here. The poster, and information regarding the film (and maybe the title too) probably made and may still make people believe it's a fast paced action movie, when it's nothing but. I think that reflects itself in the scandalously low rating this gem has.

Let me be perfectly blunt: Bobby could easily have been a dentist and it would have born ZERO consequence to the plot. The fact that they made him an F1 driver really felt like an afterthought to make the movie more like the Remarque novel on which it is based.
