Encore Drama is showing it.
If you get the various Encore channels, watch for it there. This is the first time I've seen it since it was released to HBO @1978-79. I don't recall enjoying it that much, but our family was experiencing so many losses in only a couple of years. Perhaps that's why I had no good memories of it: Death and fear of death are the soul of this film.
I'm watching it now, as a lady in my late 50s, and am enjoying it immensely! If they do air this again, I might tape it, keeping it until I at least retrieve some of the great lines of dialogue! Someone complained about the "trumpety" music, and I wonder what s/he is referring to! I hear piano and orchestral pieces and figure that person never actually watched this movie.
I'd forgotten about the hot-air balloons! I might be acrophobic and could never do such a thing, but that is a lovely sequence!
