There was a scene where 2 cops are arguing with someone in the street and Marsha Mason is sitting on the ground, and because of this situation she ends up being late to picking her daughter up at school. What was that scene with the 2 cops about? It seemed like the first half of that scene was missing.

It wasn't two cops, it was a cop and a bus driver. Mrs. Templeton was riding the bus, which got into an accident with another car. The bus driver and the motorist were arguing, the cop was trying to handle the situation. Granted, they left it to the viewer to figure out what was happening on the fly with no exposition beyond what you see on screen for a few seconds. But I got it, and I'm a huge idiot.
