Is anybody else out there watching this series on the American Life Network? I was thoroughly enjoying progressing through the series on ALN, especially as it's not on DVD. But a few weeks ago (Nov. 2008) in the middle of Season 3, ALN stopped showing new episodes, and has instead gone back to running episodes from Season 1. Anybody know the reason for this???
shareThey just did the same thing with "St Elsewhere", "Hill Street Blues" and "LA Law". I encourage you (and anyone else who is upset about this) to go to their website and send an email expressing your disappointment. If enough people complain, they might start showing the newer episodes.
shareThey're aslo doing the same thing w/ Trapper John MD Lost in Space Voyage to the bottom of the Sea Land of the Giants etc, I callem them a while back on this matter it seem that it costs a lot of money for them to air new episodes but they ARE trying to get new ones
shareHulu has been releasing the seasons one by one, at perhaps 6-month intervals; for quite a while they had only season 1. Season 3 showed up only in the last couple of months. I have no doubt that Season 4 will appear there later this year.
Their site messages about it haven't been updated. They still say that episode 3-19 ("Lou") has been unavailable for viewing due to music clearances -- but it's there now.
Wish I knew
Seasons 1-3 are available on itunes and hulu and have been for awhile but no seasons 4&5. I've rewatched 1-3 way too much and would love to see more of this great show. For anyone who thinks the show is dated should watch brushfire and scam.
Is it possible seasons 4/5 were "lost" or is it a copyright issue?
As of May 2010, season four is running on FLN (Family Life Network). Season five will probably start the week of May 17. Airtimes are 5 AND 6 PM Eastern, Mon-Thurs.
