Stevenson and Cassidy: Better hair than Farrah!

Okay, I bought both DVD sets for my wife, but I grew up watching these shows, too, so I'm also getting a kick out of watching episodes I haven't seen in almost 30 years.

One thing that cracks me up is that the HAIR on Parker Stevenson and Shaun Cassidy is arguably more gorgeous than most FEMALE 1970's icons! Whenever the Hardy Boys share screen time with Nancy Drew, I almost think I'm watching "Charlie's Angels" by mistake! I know the '70s were a big time for feathering, blow-drying and hairspray, but my GOD!

Never thought about it back in 1978-79, but I get a good chuckle from them every time I put on an episode. Good, cheesy fun!

I completely second that. Especially Parker Stevenson's hair! You could go surfing on all those waves! In my opinion, Parker Stevenson's hair from "The Hardy Boys" and John Travolta's hair from "Welcome Back, Kotter" were the fluffiest male hairdos around on late 70's tv.

I read these posts the other day, and tonight when watching the show I kept looking at their hair and laughing. Yes. Their hair is fantastic. I, too, am a straight male, but I have to admit they look utterly gorgeous.

Maybe it was a Southern California thing, but everyone I went to school with at the time had hair like that, guys and girls.
